Educational Excellence
United States Pony Clubs started in 1954 to teach the English style of riding and the proper care of horses. This was an offshoot of the British Pony Club, which was created in 1929 as a junior branch of the Institute of the Horse. Since then, Pony Club has expanded to many countries around the world. The main objective of is to promote sportsmanship, stewardship, and leadership throughout the riding community.
Currently, we have approximately 45 Pony Club students. Pony Clubbers can look forward to:
Monthly Pony Club meetings where students are trained on mounted and unmounted coursework
Group competitions:
Rallies- Multi-day event incorporating different riding disciplines where students have the opportunity to compete in with other regional Pony Clubs
Quiz- Strictly an unmounted competition where teams are tested and compete of their knowledge of horsemanship
